Enjoy a 4 night stay in the comfort of Gartmore House in our ensuite bedrooms , many with views over Flanders Moss towards Stirling.
In your room you will find
  • Maps and trails, with information on walks                                     
  • Pamper pack (for the end of the day)
  • Tea/Coffee making facilities (with a little something extra!)

Gartmore House is an 18th Century mansion with all the modern facilities to ensure you have a wonderful holiday. Enjoy the views from our dining room and Cedar lounge as you relax by the log fire after a hard days walking, talking with your guide and fellow walkers, or join in with some of our evening entertainment.  Make full use of our drying room (should the weather be inclement!), or take some time to explore 75 acres of grounds surrounding the House.

Your Guide

We use only highly experienced instructors who are qualified to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable walk in this magnificent area. Our instructors for all our activity holidays are highly experienced, friendly, passionate about what they do, and well informed ready to help you explore the history, folklore, nature and wildlife of the area.

Graded walks

Grade A
Easy Low altitude walks of short duration (2-3 Hours) along paths and forest tracks.
Grade B
Low altitude walks of between 3-4 hours duration, over paths through forests.  Possible ascents and descents over rough ground
Grade C
Walks of 4-6 hours duration over high moorland and rugged hillside with intermittent paths and possibly wet conditions underfoot. These walks will be strenuous and challenging and therefore require a fair level of fitness.

Food          

Start the day with a full Scottish breakfast, and enjoy either a packed lunch or light sandwich lunch at the house. Evening meals are a mouthwatering 3 courses.  We try to accommodate most dietary requirements if given in advance.
